I have been breeding PUREBRED SPANISH HORSES in Great Britain since 1982 which makes this Studfarm the oldest still active in the country which is dedicated to producing this beautiful and very special breed. In 2017 we were delighted to welcome the birth of Maryss Beatrix, who is our first 6th generation female in a direct line back to our foundation PRE mare, Anisada.

For most of the breed’s long history it has been known as the ANDALUSIAN HORSE, but about 20 years ago the Spanish Government declared the breed to be a National Treasure of Spain and the breed was officially renamed PURA RAZA ESPAÑOLA, which gives the approved abbreviation initials – PRE.

The MARYSS PRE Stud has specialised in producing top quality horses in the more unusual colours since its inception and the photos on this home-page give a flavour of various colours that can be produced.

Amongst the studs most famous products are the THREE SUPREME NATIONAL CHAMPIONS, Maryss Java (black),  Maryss Dilaila (chocolate dun), and Maryss Gloria (red bay).
The stud is also very proud of NATIONAL RIDDEN CHAMPIONs – Maryss Encantado (bay) and Pinturero P II, and National Champions – Anisada, Maryss Amalia, and Pinturero P II, and National Junior Champion – Magno VI, and Res.National Junior Champion – Maryss Nevasco
